College Library

The vision of the College Library is to become a model library among the state by providing information services and access to digital and printed resources to support the scholarly and informational need of the college community. Towards this it intends to incorporate the latest technology and adopt more user friendly approaches.

The library serves as an information resource centre and aims to develop a comprehensive collection of books, journals and other reading materials useful for the students and staff of the College and thus, provide a platform for an efficient dissemination of knowledge.

The library is an Institutional member of DELNET since June 2018. It is partially automated with SOUL 3.0. Library Management Software (LMS) and follows closed access system. Web OPAC module is a main tool to provide access to the collections. The Entire collection has been classified & catalogued according to Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) rules. The entire database of the library is kept in SOUL 3.0. All the books in the library are catalogued, bar-coded and tagged for easy circulation and better security. A digital facility is also introduced with many online Indian journals.

Principal's Message

Fr (Dr) Martin Poras SJ

Education in the words of W.B. Yeats, “is not the filling of a bucket but the lightening of the fire”. Yes, education is about igniting change within; forming men and women who would have the strength of character, the moral fibre, and the courage of conviction to stand for what is right and just. It is about enabling people with voice and choice.
